Friend (the Verb)

To friend, unfriend, and be a friend. Don't you love it when new words (or new meanings to words) are added to our daily life? I do. But then again I'm a "word girl" and find things like new dictionary entries fascinating. What can I say? For example, did you know "friend" is now a verb as well as a noun? Not only that, but to friend is different than being a friend. A lot of the addition to our language are due to Facebook, Twitter, and texting. For example, in March the words LOL, TMI, and BFF, were also added to the Oxford English Dictionary. Part of me is surprised that it took that long to get those words recognized because it seems like we've been using them forever.
