Here's a (not so well kept) secret about me: I'm a huge football fan. (Go Pack!) Lest you think football is all about emotionless, burly dudes running around, let me tell you about a pair of friends from the New York Jets.

NY Jets QB Mark Sanchez

The Jets just drafted Scotty McKnight to play for them as a wide receiver. McKnight was reportedly thrilled about this, not just because hello, he's playing in the NFL, but he will be catching passes from his best buddy from childhood, Mark Sanchez. (Sanchez is the Jets' quarterback.)

Sanchez and McKnight have been friends since they were eight years old, yet (get this) they never, until now, have played football together on the same team. I think this is such a great story! You know, sometimes we look at celebs or athletes as if they aren't real people with real relationships, but clearly it isn't true. Besides that, I was blown away that the two had been friends this long. It's so rare to keep a friend from the time you're a little kid on into adulthood, especially when any element of fame is involved.

McKnight admitted that "deep down, I was hoping I would go to the Jets" and that it was a "dream come true" that he'll be catching passes from his friend, Sanchez. I'm sure these two will be fun to watch when the season starts, don't you?
