September is National Women's Friendship Month. Did you know that? It was started over ten years ago as a single day by the Kappa Delta Sorority. It became so popular that they extended it to an entire month, and in 2009, Women's Friendship Month was born. I love the idea of an entire month devoted to women's friendship, because women are wired differently than men. We look to our friendships for love and support and actually seek them out during times of stress. Men approach it differently, and that's okay. It's good to acknowledge the differences between the sexes, and the more we can do that the better we can understand how each communicates. Communication is a key part of a healthy friendship, after all.
Here are some ways to celebrate Women's Friendship Month.
