I can't imagine what it must be like to get a divorce after twenty-five years of marriage, like Maria Shriver did this year from Arnold Schwarzenegger. Not just that, but dealing with the knowledge that your husband had an affair and an illegitimate child has got to be heartbreaking. Yet she seems to be handling it bravely. Her secret: friendship. People reports that at a benefit recently that she shared a note from a friend "who has intellectual disabilities" which touched her heart. The note said, "You're my best friend Maria and you will never be left out."
