So what have you done for a friend lately? Dan Flack, who lives in the UK, gave his pal Robert Baldwin one of his kidneys. Now that's friendship! Their story is really sweet. Flack donated his kidney so Baldwin could move forward with his wedding in May. Baldwin said, "Dan and I have been best friends since childhood and he really is the greatest friend I could ask for."
Naturally, Flack is also going to be best man at Baldwin's wedding. He said, "He was my natural choice to be a best man - but even I didn't expect him to take his duty so seriously that he would give me his kidney so that I could get married and be a father."
That's pretty amazing! And what an inspiring story about friendship.
I love stories like these! My brother did something similar. Not long after our mom died, her best friend needed a kidney transplant. My brother got himself tested, was found to be a perfect match, and donated his kidney!
