Holding a Grudge?

Let's talk attitude, shall we? You can't meet new friends if you are holding grudges and putting out a negative attitude. No one wants to be around someone who isn't happy and engaging. You might not think that past arguments can hurt future friendships you make, but if you're holding on to anger from a past friend conflict, it can affect a new friendship that hasn't even gotten off the ground yet.

It's easy to feel as if you've been burned in the past by a friend, but holding on to anger will not only make you feel resentful and hurt, it will de-motivate you to find new friends, people who will appreciate you as you are.

If you've had a toxic friendship that left you hurting, the best thing to do is forgive that person for their selfishness and stupidity, and move on. Chalk up the hurt to life experience, but don't let it stop you from finding new friends, because I promise you, there are plenty of good people out there looking for a great pal just like you are.
