Dogs Reunited With Owners Five Years Later

This is one of those stories that really makes your heart sing. A pair of basset hounds (named Allie and 'Bama) were taken from their owners five and a half years ago. Heartbreaking. My grandpa had a dog stolen from him once and it was so sad. I can't imagine having to deal with that.

But there is good news. The dogs were taken from their owners who lived in Tennessee but were found "wandering around the parking lot of a Dallas, Ga. tractor supply store" earlier this month. Someone took them to a shelter, found their microchip, and called their owners.

Can you imagine that call? If you're the owner, you think your dogs are long gone and here they are five years later! They spent all those years apart and went to another state also! Wow. I certainly wonder what adventures they had while they were away.
