I've met a lot of my current friends from jobs I've had over the years. I was always happy that if I left to go somewhere new, I tended to stay in touch with people and further our friendship. Being friends with people in the office usually makes a lot of sense. It helps you with job satisfaction, and let's face it, knowing you'll have a friendly face there makes it easier to go in everyday.
