Happy Monday, and what a way to start off the week than with a few news items. Have you read something interesting this week? Here are the things that caught my attention.
- A man is selling the American Dream on eBay. This news could lead to a discussion about what you and your new friend think the American Dream is, what you would do with your life if you didn't need to work, or even the wonders of eBay.
- Does a picture tell a thousand words? I think these iconic pictures certainly do. There are some rare moments in time here, and at least one of them is sure to give you inspiration for small talk.
- I'll admit, I don't understand the tradition of Olympic athletes biting their medals. But if you know why they do it, it does make for a good small talk item.
- We've landed on Mars! This exciting news item will appeal to science buffs, those interested in history, space, and naturally, sci fi.
