You want to do something fun with your friend? How about winning the lottery? (Yeah, that would be pretty fun.) That's what Willie McPherson and Christopher Manzi did. The two have been playing the lottery together (which means pooling their money together to buy tickets) for 25 years. Well, it paid off! They finally won $14 million in the Mega Millions drawing.
These two became friends after meeting in a work environment. (See, work friends really can transform into life-long connections.) Also, sometimes it's just a few things in common that can bond two friends together. Manzi says he and McPherson share these favorite things:
"We both like playing the lottery, we both like women, and we both like lots of money."
Whenever I hear a story like this, I wonder if my friends and I would be disciplined enough to spend 25 years buying lottery tickets together. And then, would there be a problem if we won? And yet, these two friends have managed to trust each other and share a bond that has lasted a quarter of a century. Congrats to them!
Have you and a friend ever played the lottery together?
