We talk a lot about bad gifts, because some of them are just so funny you have to laugh, but really, getting the perfect gift that someone really put a lot of thought into can really leave a lasting impression. Someone bought me the DVDs for Monarchy a few years ago, and I just loved that series. I'm a Tudor fiction (and nonfiction) buff so it was really the perfect gift.
