Winnie the Pooh and Other January Things

If you've downloaded the 2013 friendship calendar, you know that this month's featured quote is from Winnie the Pooh that says:

"If you live to be 100, I hope I live to be 100 minus one day, so I never have to live without you."

I love that quote, don't you? Also, January 18th is officially Winnie the Pooh day, which is cool because that story really is all about the basics of friendship, and it's as true for kids as it is for adults. There are some really great quotes from Pooh and here are a few more.

Another thing on the calendar this month is a suggestion to start a friendship journal. This can be a wonderful way to record your thoughts of gratitude about a friend. You can keep it or give it to them at the end of the year. What a thoughtful and unique gift that would be!

Finally, the suggestion for making friends centers on fitness. Get fit while you make new friends. A walking club is the perfect way to accomplish this. Here's some more info from our Walking Guide on how to do it.
