A while back I did an interview with Shasta Nelson, founder of Girlfriend Circles, and was really impressed with her passion about helping women make and keep friends. Shasta also is one of our guest instructors for Friendship Boot Camp, where she gives advice on how to turn a few acquaintances into real friends, as well as throw a "friends sharing" party to connect with new people.
She's passionate about friendship, and has written a new book called Friendships Don't Just Happen. I haven't read it yet, but it's on my to-do list. The book launches in two weeks in San Francisco, New York, L.A., and Chicago. For the price of the book you'll get one of the first copies, get to meet her, and have a fun night out. This is a good event to bring your girlfriends to, or if you know someone at work at school who has been struggling to make friends, author events like these are a nice way to get out and mingle.
